As the country battles load shedding which has left South Africans angry and frustrated, Eskom has announced that it will be beefing the media to address the power challenges.
On Tuesday, Eskom CEO André de Ruyter said load shedding will be reduced to stage 3 from Wednesday and stage 2 until Saturday.
De Ruyter cited a myriad of problems including a lack of capacity in the country and some municipalities having also not played their role when it comes to implementing load shedding.
Eskom says it will address the power challenges on Wednesday.
“Eskom Group Chief Executive, André de Ruyter cordially invites you to a Virtual Media Briefing where Eskom’s management team will provide an update on the current system challenges.”
The briefing is expected to take place between 3pm and 4pm.
