JMPD Undercover Unit Foils Business Robbery at Signet Terrace in Lenasia

Johannesburg Metropolitan Police (JMPD) have foiled a business robbery at Signet Terrace in Lenasia, south of Johannesburg.

The JMPD Undercover Unit received a tipoff about the planned business robbery at the busy shopping centre on Monday.

Spokesperson Wayne Minnaar said the officers proceeded to Signet Terrace and found an abandoned blue Audi.

“After observing the vehicle, officers checked the car and discovered that it was unlocked and was fitted with false number plates. The Audi was a stolen in Kagiso and an illegal firearm with eight rounds of ammunition was found hidden inside.” 

Minnaar said the vehicle and firearms were taken to the Lenasia Police Station for processing.
