A mother and child who went missing in KwaZulu-Natal have reportedly been found safe.
Zaenab Arshad (40) and her son Thakier (13) left their home in Windsor Road, Umhlanga Rocks on Wednesday afternoon to pick up medication at a pharmacy in Overport when they reportedly went missing.
The public were urged to look out for the mother and son.
According to a post by Reaction Unit South Africa, they retuned home unharmed on Thursday but the information is yet to be verified.
“According to a member of their family, the two travelled to the South Coast last night and booked into a hotel where they spent the night. Other relatives have made telephonic contact with RUSA informing Reaction Officers working on this case that the mother and son are still missing. Reaction Unit South Africa is currently attempting to verify this information.”
