Woman Arrested for Stealing Hard Drives & Voter Management Device from City of Joburg Offices

A woman has been arrested for dismantling computer hard drives, memory cards, and processors from the City of Joburg’s offices in Braamfontein.

She was caught once again on CCTV footage on Monday morning trying to steal from the city.

The woman was arrested in 2020 and although there was footage of the crime, the case was thrown out due to insufficient evidence.

The JMPD said a Voter Management Device was also allegedly found in her possession.

Spokesperson Wayne Minnaar said: “She will be detained at Hillbrow Police Station and will likely have to appear in the Hillbrow court today.”
